Description: A scenic and and fascinating tour of Myanmar that includes a visit to the Shan State, admire 8,000 Buddha images in the Pindaya caves, enchanting Inle Lake and explore the archaeological wonder of Bagan.

ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE YANGON (-)
Transfer to the hotel and begin sightseeing including colorful downtown Yangon, Chaukhtatkyi, a colossal reclining Buddha; a scenic photo stop on beautiful Kandawgyi lake and the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the world’s most impressive golden stupas.
DAY 2: YANGON - BAGAN (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Bagan. Sightseeing highlights include more of Bagan’s impressive pagodas such as Sulamani Temple built in by King Narapatisithu, Dhammayangyi Temple, a massive later period temple with the finest brickwork in Bagan and Thatbyinnyu Temple which towering above the other monuments of Bagan. Later we will go to the Shwesandaw Pagoda where the sunset views are excellent.
DAY 3: BAGAN - HEHO (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Heho. Arrival at Heho airport and drive to Pindaya which is noted for its extensive limestone caves filled with Buddha images. Driving there we will be passing through the PaO and Danu villages of Pwehla and Ji Chanzi and endless fields of dry cultivated mountain rice and potato. Inside the Pindaya Caves are nearly 8,000 Buddha images that have been placed there over the centuries as a form of merit making. Made of various materials and of different sizes, the statues are situated in every nook and cranny throughout the many cave chambers.
DAY 4: PINDAYA - INLE LAKE (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we are driving to unique and magical Inle Lake, located about 1000 meters above sea level and 22 km long by 11km wide. Arrive Nyaung Shwe jetty and start our sightseeing by long tailed boat to Innpawkhone Village where you can see lotus and silk weaving industries. Next to is Nanpan to see the traditional boat making, cheroot (Burmese cigar) making factory. And then continue our visit to Phaungdaw U Pagoda and if we have time, take a short visit to Leshae Village where you can see the making of Buddha image from dried flower powder. Later visit to ‘jumping cats’ monastery and floating gardens.
DAY 5: INLE LAKE (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to the 5 days market (if today is coincidence with Inle market day) and continue our Inle Lake sightseeing with a visit to Indain and its enchanting 17th century pagodas. To reach Indain and the nearby village we will take a boat ride up a small scenic creek that runs into Inle lake. And then we will visit the Silk and lotus weaving industry, cheroot making and Shan Traditional Paper making Family. If we are lucky we have a chance to see the Long neck Lady which we call padaung women.
DAY 6: INLE LAKE - YANGON (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning flight to Yangon and afternoon visit to Botahtaung pagoda on the Yangon river and a chance for a last shopping spree at the sprawling 80 year old Bogyoke (Scott) Market filled with a large collection of local handicrafts and other items from throughout Myanmar.
DAY 7: DEPART YANGON (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. At leisure until departure transfer.
