ITINERARY

DAY 1: BANGKOK - HIN TOK RIVER CAMP (L/D)

Early morning (06:00-06:30 hrs) pick up from downtown hotels in Bangkok and transfer to Kanchanaburi. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum, War cemetery and Bridge over the River Kwai. Drive to Hin Tok River Camp for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, visit Hellfire Pass Memorial and take a hike along the trail of the former Thailand-Burma railway embankment (2.5 km, 1 hour walk - bring along strong walking shoes or sneakers). Transfer back by van to the camp and relax for a while, before taking a bicycle ride to the nearby village, where locals engage in weaving bamboo baskets. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: HIN TOK RIVER CAMP (B/L/D)

After breakfast, take a long-tail boat trip to Sai Yok Yai Waterfall and enjoy nature at its best. Don't forget to bring along your swimsuit and a towel! Return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon, explore the stalagmites and stalactites at Lawa Cave, then return to camp for some relaxation. In the evening, join a Thai cooking demonstration and get some insight into the preparation and ingredients of Thai cooking. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: HIN TOK RIVER CAMP - BANGKOK (B/L)

Early risers may enjoy a bicycle ride or walk to the nearby temple across the river and offer food to the monks. After breakfast, check out and take a motorized long-tail boat to the Mon Village at Jungle Rafts. The ethnic Mon are of Burmese origin who retain their own culture and language. Take a walk around the village or embark on an optional elephant ride through the bamboo forest. After lunch at Jungle Rafts, take a ride on the historic Death-Railway train. Transfer back to your hotel in Bangkok in the early evening.
